The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester Unveils Fall Flavor for “Cupcakes That Care” Program
Portion of Every Signature Cupcake Sold To Go To Breast Cancer Research FoundationWhite Plains, NY – The smells and flavors of Autumn are embodied in the new Cupcakes that Cares at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. Cupcakes that Care, now entering its second year with the Fall season, is a program introduced at the end of 2010 that takes everyone’s favorite treat and gives it a dual purpose: it satisfies the sweet tooth and raises money for local non-profit organizations that have been hand-picked by the staff at the hotel.
This season’s cupcake, “Autumn Apple Spice,” is a spiced apple cupcake topped with a maple cream cheese frosting. The lightly spiced, fruity cake combined with the topping make this cupcake a true Fall treat.
“We are pleased that a portion of proceeds from our Autumn Apple Spice cupcakes will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation,” said Jeff Dziak, Interim General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. “Our Cupcakes that Care are another piece of our continued commitment to the community and its well-being, and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month we hope that the funds raised will contribute to research that will eradicate the disease.”
Cupcakes that Care cost $3.50 each, with $0.50 going to charity, or $42.00 per dozen, with $6.00 going to charity and can be ordered by calling the hotel’s main number (914-946-5500) from the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM to place your order. For specialty cupcake flavors, orders should be placed 72 hours in advance, and 24 hours in advance for our classic cupcake flavors.
