Geoff began his professional career in 1969 as a news reporter for the Gannett suburban newspaper group (now The Journal News) in Westchester County, NY. During a 17-year journalism career he worked as a reporter, editor and award-winning columnist. For the last 10 years with the company he was Business and Real Estate editor. Since co-founding Thompson & Bender, he has worked on a wide range of public relations campaigns and has earned a reputation for handling major public relations strategies and challenges. He has developed and executed public relations programs involving a myriad of business and real estate interests, as well as for political campaigns. Among the many clients he has worked with are: Cappelli Enterprises, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, The Westchester mall, General Electric Co., The Trump Organization, Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate, The Westchester County Association, Mirant and County Asphalt Co.

Liz began her career in 1976 with the Gannett suburban newspaper group (now The Journal News). Before joining T&B in 1990, she had risen to the position of Vice President of Marketing for Gannett’s entire 10-newspaper group, with special assignments at USA TODAY. Since joining Thompson & Bender, she has managed a diverse number of award-winning public relations, advertising and marketing campaigns for clients in the public and private sectors including: the Public Opening of Kykuit, John Rockefeller’s home in Pocantico Hills, NY; Grand Central Terminal in NYC; Iona College; Westchester Magazine Wine and Food Weekend; The Buick Classic PGA Golf tournament; The Journal News; The Thayer Hotel at West Point; White Plains Hospital; The Westchester mall in White Plains, NY; Trump Tower in White Plains, NY, The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester in White Plains, NY and many others.

Dean began his journalism career in 1973 with the Paterson (NJ) Evening News where he worked as a reporter and later editor. In 1977, he joined the Gannett Suburban Newspapers (now The Journal News) as a local news editor and later served as Assistant Business and Real Estate Editor. Since co-founding Thompson & Bender in 1986, he has developed and managed public relations and marketing initiatives for clients in a wide variety of fields including Simone Development Companies/Hutchinson Metro Center, The Community Preservation Corporation, Blythedale Children’s Hospital, MBIA, Westchester Medical Pavilion, Regeneron, St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Fuji Film USA, Trump Parc Stamford, Stellaris Health Network, Provident Bank and the Building Owners and Managers Association of Westchester where he serves on its Board of Directors.
